How to survive in the year of 2007 in your JC/Poly/Working Life

Hello once again! I am totally like 1 day late in wishing you all, but never mind the lateness, better late than never, eh?

HAPPY NEW EAR!

(So did your hearing get better? Did you make a trip to the Body Shop?)

So anyway, click here to see the photos of what I did during the period where everyone's counting down to the year 2007!

In the same link you'll see some photos of Matthias' stayover at my house... LOL we played sorang daidi as well as stress and classic UNO.

A feast on "龙井茶糖" was inevitable as well, since Matt has a liking for these sweets, and we also feasted on the rabbit sweet (chocolate flavour!).

That's besides the point. As quickly as it seems, we have reached the end of 2006 and suddenly we find ourselves at a one-way street, to the next stage of our lives.

For my age group, it means either to the above three choices: JC/Poly/Working Life.

In general, since many of us have gotten into the spirit of the holidays far too much, and have forgotten what is it like to live in Singapore (stress, money problems & homework), let us remind ourselves that the holidays are now over and we have to wake up our idea!

Here are some tips on How to survive in the year of 2007 in your JC/Poly/Working Life:

  1. Don't be a total goof and try to be funny and piss off people in your new environment, because they will get you. Hmm.

  2. Lame jokes can be a great conversation starter, but don't be lame and talk in lame jokes.

  3. For people who start work this year, remember that the working world may be a dog-eat-dog world, but please don't bring dog food to the working place. In fact, these dogs are cannibalistic.

  4. For JC/Poly students, don't waste your time socializing with people that you don't really know. Don't bother, because they don't really bother either.

  5. In your new environment, you are bound to go for an orientation or tour, so please be a sport, join in the fun. If you don't, prepare to get lost in your school/workplace.

  6. Don't drink and drive.

  7. Give up smoking.

  8. Don't take drugs (this also includes excessive use of painkillers).

  9. Do not engage yourself in senseless talk because it will get you nowhere.
If you decide to ask me, why 9 points only? Because I'll rather leave it at 9 (frankly I ran out of ideas) and because 9 is a nicer sounding number than ten. Just because.

Or if you ask why the last few points are crappy, then please navigate yourself away from my blog. =)

Alright, for some business-oriented people, here are some real tips for the year 2007. click here

I'll see if I can get some orientation photos up tomorrow evening. Till then, adieu!
