Cake, soccer and switched presents.

We basked in the moonlight as we strolled down to our dinner place, Parkway Parade. It was a pleasant experience (even if it meant wearing pink panther t-shirts after washing up at a fairly open and crowded bathhouse).

The Secondary 4 (+ JC) get-together was a huge success yesterday as we spent the whole day together at TPBC campus and East Coast Park, and then PP.

Even as we got together to play games, eat dinner etc, we never forgot who made this possible, the one and only Lord of the universe!

Yesterday it started off great, with a gathering at the void deck of our church, as we feasted our eyes on a coffee cake. Medium as it may seem (in size), I was touched by their gesture. No friends (in my entire life) have ever bought me a cake to celebrate my birthday! I only remember that it was my family who bought me a cake. After reluctantly biting the candles off the cake (initiated by so many of them), we started eating. Until a few of them decided it was fun to throw the cakes at people! So we started targeting each other in the faces, and in the end we had to clean up before we set off. It was funny to see all of us having cake smeared on our faces.

After which we set off to ECP. On the way, we were told to open "our" presents. I got a cool purple t-shirt, as well as a baby blue ripcurl flip-flops! And the other present was a fairy wand. Hah! Then we realised that me and Deborah had to switch presents. In the end, I had a pair of Zildjian drumsticks (Model 5A; wood-tipped) and a Pink Mickey Mouse tee which had a embroidered Mickey image on it.

ECP was fun, because we played soccer, we frisbee, volleyball, captain's ball and water bombs! All of us got really but of course, it dried off in due course. Yeah, I guess the games really invoked memories from my mind when I saw the pictures this morning. The bonds that binded us together yesterday, as I prayed to the Lord last night, will never be forfeited!

I guess we'll just have to wait till December before we can enjoy ourselves once again.
