Disappointments

Sat in the corner, twiddling thumbs make light of day
Stares at the clock, twenty minutes past favourites
Pointed fingers appear accurately,
Time's running out, better keep yourself in check
with the occasional vibe of the music

Anxious-mindedness
made the order of the day
1 minute left! Quick!

The wind sweeps through gusts of stale air
man-made collisions with the stable ground and rubber
shifty sounds and gazes everywhere
What now? The spotlight darkens.

Gentlemen! Halt now!
Swords are drawn, caterwauling
Pleads me, just one more!

Sighs and guffaws fill the musky odor of bodies
Spirit of hopelessness' dominion, matrices of faces down to earth once more
Dreams shattered, miracles unbelieved and unspoken

How now, brown cowards
Droopy faces now adorned
on their oiled image

Because I believed, I thought I could conquer
Halfberds still in air, the battle is lost.
Grinding to the monotony of speech
Gradually emptied feeling.

I was feeling a little poetic, hence the immense verses of poetic unrhythmic sense. Notice the haikus in the middle of each verse.

Let's see who's the smart aleck who can guess what this poem is really saying. And who's the smart aleck AFTER to guess how long this took to create.

I've officially reached mugfest saturation. It's official because Mocks have started, and I realise I do not have so much time to spare.

My MSN Nick writes: "360 Degrees of Change. 720 Degrees of Consistency. 1440 Degrees Of Nothingness."

Extendedly, the other writes: "Were you prepared when you met it? [Under defeat by standing champion; mocks. Next Round: 31st July 2006, D-day.]"

I had a Biology Mock Practical today and it was midly fine. Except that it took a little too long for me to realise that I was going slower than the rest. And "Water Bath" didn't mean "a real water bath" but just a water bath made with beakers. Geez.

Haven't been blogging for long because I couldn't find the time. Will not be blogging for a long time but here's a nice story to share just in case you find this blog boring.

Black and Gold Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes
Which God gave me to hold
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black,
And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded his words, and in the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I store
But though the gold became heavier each day
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black
I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused aloud,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be."
He smiled a gentle smile at me.
"My child, they're all here with me."

I asked, "God, why give me the boxes,
"Why the gold, and the black with the hole?"
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
the black is for you to let go."
