The need for sleep; or the lack of it

It has been one whole long week plus a few more days before that since planning for Orientation Two 2007. Frankly, I do believe that from this little experience in planning for this event, as well as executing it, all of us elects learnt a lot.
  • Communication: How important it is to pass information around effectively to the relevant people and/or authorities
  • Dealing with Discouragement: Learn to work on what you have and not focus on what you do not have
  • Opening up to Criticisms: Learn to deal with critics and also be receptive and responsive to what they say
  • Rehearsals: The importance of doing first-hand experiences before the actual run of the event
To be brutally honest and blunt about it, it has been a very hectic and long week, and sometimes I wished I disappeared into mid-air halfway from school, and pretended not to be there for a bit, just to get away from the hectic schedule. But responsibilities demand commitment, and commitment comes hand-in-hand with a great deal of dedication. Hence dedication pulled me away from doing just that.

At the very least, I do remember what I said for my Pre-Nominee interview.

"I love to organise events for people and derive satisfaction from the participation; as such I always gain my drive from such response."

Now seriously they should have given us a full day at least for today, because it was dreary and tiring, and most of us elects were pretty drained. But that's what it's all about isn't it?

This isn't the end, it is only the beginning.

Tomorrow's Pre-camp, and yes I wonder how interesting can it get with my bleak mood and aching body.
